Starting Fresh in 2026 🌟 | January 08, 2026
Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you a wonderful start to 2026.
It's been a few months, and honestly, I'm a bit nervous. You know that feeling when you're starting (or in this case re-starting) something? There's always that little voice of hesitation. But I've learned it's always better to start now and improve as I go than to keep waiting.
So.... hello again! 👋
🌟 2025 — A Year of Firsts
2025 was all about saying yes to things I'd never done before:
Launched SPARK, a creative coding membership
Co-organized Open Assembly: an online conference hosted by the Processing Foundation for 100+ people (website built by yours truly!)
Exhibited my first interactive installation alongside incredibly talented artists
Made real money working from anywhere in the world – the lifestyle I've been working towards for the past two and a half years
I'm really proud of myself for getting here.
🌟 What's Coming in 2026?
Creating content while learning is hard. I've been holding myself to unrealistic consistency standards, so I'm letting that go for now. Sometimes you need space to think and grow.
Here's what's changing
I plan to share what I'm learning consistently, but will do it through writing. I'm excited to experiment with long-form blog posts.
Weekly newsletter – regular updates on what I'm exploring and building, plus long-form pieces on my experiments and creative process (maybe some random stuff to spice things up!)
YouTube videos – more sporadic as I dig into new territory (at least for the next few months), but I'm not going anywhere! I find so much joy in creating videos, both in sharing knowledge and in the creative act of packaging ideas
Topics I'm Exploring
Two big areas I'm excited about:
Shaders – diving deeper into graphics programming and libraries like three.js
AI – experimenting with AI tools to bridge the gap between design and code, and figuring out what it means to be a builder in an AI-driven market
I'm still figuring out the details, but expect more writing, different formats, and content that follows my curiosity.
Thanks for being here. It means a lot 🩵
Until next week!
