Two Years, New Paths, and Bouncy Pixels | September 11, 2025
This Week’s Highlight
It’s been three months since the last Code With Me video, so why not make another one! This one features a fun, interactive bouncy sketch set to a cozy lo-fi playlist—actually the kind of soundtrack I love listening to while I work.
Bonus: a little ice cube ASMR for fun 🧊😂. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
What Inspires Me
I’ve been playing with Gizmo, a mobile app that turns prompts into sketches. I love the haptic feedback (think tiny vibrations) that I’ve never experienced while coding sketches on a computer. It's simple, yet surprisingly fun!
That said, one thing I’ve realized is that creative coding is fun for me because I get to write the code myself. Having a prompt generate it takes some joy away (the process of figuring out the math and making things work), but it’s still fascinating to see what it produces.
I’m curious about their target audience and long-term vision. It's always inspiring to see new approaches to creativity.
Milestone Moment
Can you believe it’s been two years? Neither can I.
This past year threw some surprises my way. I’ve learned that this journey has been a series of paths to explore: some feel good, some don’t, and some surprise you entirely. You step through, see what fits, and either keep going or turn around and explore the next one.
Through it all, my fascination with the intersection of art and technology remains constant. I’m excited to see which path I get to explore next, and I hope you’ll come along with me!
Until next week!
